Rancilio Group North America Marketing Assistant Jomarie Tiongson and Project Coordinator Olinka Heard recently visited our offices for an AQ Content Review Workshop (CRW). The two-day CRW gives manufacturers an opportunity to meet with our Content, Customer Support and Product Management departments. They discuss AQ features, best practices, new capabilities, and latest releases with the goal of optimizing their products’ presence in the AQ Catalog.
Rancilio Group manufactures traditional and fully automatic espresso machines, and dosing grinders for commercial and home use. Rancilio Group North America is the branch office of Rancilio Group and the distribution center for Rancilio and Egro machines throughout North America. Its products are used in hotel and restaurant chains, independent restaurants, hospitals, schools, airports and company cafeterias.

Jomarie’s education and background is in design and graphics, and she creates brochures, flyers and other marketing collateral for Rancilio Group North America. Within AQ, she helps monitor and manage content, creates spec sheets, and validates images for the AQ Catalog.
Olinka’s career has been in sales, sales communications and customer care. She works with dealers and chain accounts to ensure that customers are educated about Rancilio products and that their needs are matched with the right equipment. AQ helps her with this process. “AQ is easy to navigate,” said Olinka. “All the data is right there, like pricing and discounts. I answer a lot of questions on voltage and I’m able to access that information easily.”
What trends do Olinka and Jomarie see in their market? “There are a lot of small cafes popping up all over,” said Olinka. “In Chicago recently, I saw four coffee shops within a couple blocks of each other. Hotel chains are offering more coffee options also. Places like convenience stores and gas stations realize they need to offer high quality coffee choices to keep up with their competition.”
