AQ’s product team recently hosted a webinar focused on Quote Acceptance, a new feature for AQ dealers from AQ. As most of us have transitioned to working from home for now, this feature is especially useful to streamline the quoting process and communication between you and your customers to keep the sales process moving.
Better Quoting for You and Your Customers
Quote Acceptance enables your customers to view quotes, accept or decline, and provide electronic signature on AQ quotes. It also allows you to include any relevant documents and product information from AQ and get real-time notifications via email with status updates keeping you up to date.

How do I get access to this feature?
Quote Acceptance is currently available to all AQ-licensed dealers now at no additional cost. To access the feature in AQ, go to the Reports window.
What if I do not need to send a quote for a signature?
If you don’t need a signature, you can still utilize the Quote Acceptance feature to share the quote with your customer for review. Simply use the “Send” or “Send With Project” options from the Email menu in the Reports window.
Is this feature available for different Report options other than Quote if I want to get a different signature or track views?
Currently, this feature is only available for the Quote Report option. However, you can change the Quote Report Title to various other options like Invoice, Sales Order, Change Order, Contract or a customized title that works best for you.
When I send the quote, does the status changed to ‘viewed’ simply from emailing the quote, or has the customer clicked on the quote and opened it?
The ‘Viewed’ status will display once the customer has clicked the link and opened the quote from your email.
Can I send a single quote to multiple recipients?
Yes. You can include multiple recipients in your email. However, the quote can only be accepted and signed by one of those recipients.
Will the quote link operate correctly if I copy and paste the link into my company email?
Yes. The link will work even if you copy and paste it into another email. However, the sender will still be identified by the email address used for that AQ user account that originally generated the quote.
If the customer changes their mind about accepting but has already accepted it, can I change the status to decline?
You cannot change the status manually - a new quote needs to be regenerated and sent.
Sometimes I do not want to share Cut Sheets/Spec Sheets. Can I disable the Documents feature using Quote Acceptance?
You cannot disable the Documents feature but, when you generate your quote you can elect not to include supporting documentation like cut sheets or spec sheets for that particular quote.
Does the document drop down only work once accepted?
No. The PDF version of the quote, and any included documents will always be available from the Documents drop down menu. You can also download the signed PDF version of the quote from here once its accepted and signed.
If I change the quote it's been sent will the customer see the changes, or the original?
No. You will need to generate a new quote with any changes you’ve made and resend it.
Does the Review Status column need to be added to my Projects list in order to view the status?
The Review Status column is automatically added to your Project Browser by default. You can still move or, remove the column if needed using the Column Chooser tool.
