How to Match by Example in AutoQuotes?
AQ's 'Match by Example' feature allows a user to take an item they've located in the catalog and easily find alternative items that 'Match' the original item's specification. This is great tool for making product/price comparisons.
Match by Example can be accomplished with the following steps.
First, locate an item you wish to match against. Once located right-click on the item and select ‘Match' from the pop-up menu. (Note: Some vendors choose to restrict their items from being matched against. In these cases, you will not see the ‘Match' option under the right-click menu.)
After clicking ‘Match', the catalog window will refresh displaying items that have the same specifications as the original. If no additional items are shown, AQ is unable to find other items with the same specifications. When this happens, a user has the option to widen the scope of the initial search results. This can be done by deselecting specifications in the filters panel on the left-hand side of the page.
