How Do I Update AutoQuotes?
We regularly receive support tickets and calls from users asking how to update the AutoQuotes catalog with the latest pricing, product descriptions, spec-sheets, and pictures.
The good news is that long gone are the days of cumbersome wait times for catalog data to download to your local system. Today's cloud-based technology allows for much more responsiveness, flexibility, and reliability without putting the strain of large downloads on the user's network. Now the only downloads that occur are regularly scheduled software updates which appear as seen below:
Unlike past versions of AutoQuotes where all catalog data ‘lived' on the user's computer and required periodic updates, our current version is completely cloud-based. This means you never have to worry about having outdated catalog data ever again. All catalog data is stored on our servers which are accessed directly by AutoQuotes whenever you are in the program.
Want to know when a vendor last updated their pricing? When you open the AutoQuotes catalog you will see a display page showing newly added or updated manufacturers.
Another way to see when a vendor last updated pricing is by looking in the details panel after selecting an item:
