How to Export to QuickBooks
Prior to using the QuickBooks export functionality for the first time it is important to verify you have met the prerequisites found in the following article. Prerequisites for Exporting to QuickBooks
After verifying the prerequisites are met you can easily send your projects to QuickBooks.
First open a project, next click the export tab; then click the QuickBooks icon in the toolbar.
A window will open displaying settings for sending your project to QuickBooks.
After clicking "OK", you may be asked to assign a customer number if one is not already assigned.
Next you may be asked to link the customer in your project to QuickBooks. This can be done by typing in the customer's name & selecting it from the pop-up window. If you don't see the customer's name, simply click "Add As New QB Customer".
Now you may be asked to link the vendors in your project to QuickBooks. Just like you did with customers, type in the vendor's name & select it from the pop-up window. If you don't see the vendor's name, simply click "Add As New QB Vendor".
As your project is sent to QuickBooks you will see a progress bar. The time it takes to send the project will vary with project size, network speed and other factors but should not be overly excessive.
Once the export process completes, you will see the following dialog. You should now be able to find your Estimate, Sales Order &/or PO(s) in QuickBooks.
