How to Establish and Manage User Roles
AutoQuotes makes it easy to assign users a specific role, or set of permissions, to allow or restrict access to certain features. You can create predefined roles and assign them to multiple users or individuals. Roles can only be defined and assigned by those with Admin level roles.
To add a new role, click "Admin Settings" in the ribbon at the bottom of the AQ window, then select "Roles" in the ribbon at the top of the window.
From there, you can edit the permissions associated with an existing role or add a new role.
To edit the permissions associated with an existing role simply select the boxes.
To add a new role, simply click "Add New Role".
After creating & naming a new role you will see the new role listed in the Roles window.
As with existing roles, to edit the permissions associated with the role simply select the boxes. Click the orange check mark to save your changes.
To assign your new role to a user click the cell in the Role column next to the user's name. You should now see your new role listed in the drop down list. Select the role to apply it to the user.
Click "Save Changes" in the ribbon at the top of the window to apply & save your changes.
