Calculating Freight Costs

Did you know that you can calculate freight costs inside of AQ? AQ's Freight Estimator gives you the ability to easily estimate your shipping costs! We only require a few bits of information to provide you with the estimate. Within AQ, you can also log in to your freight provider to receive a direct estimate.

AutoQuotes has an account that will be in use by default, that account will only provide an estimate of the shipping. Although the estimate is fairly accurate, they should be considered estimates, as that price is not guaranteed.

To access the Freight Estimator, do the following:

1. Click on the "Projects" tab in the bottom panel of AQ. (By default, this is the first screen after logging in to AQ.)
2. In the main window of the "Projects" screen, click on the project for which you want the freight estimation.

   a. The project's "Spreadsheet" screen will open.

3. Click on the "Freight" tab at the bottom.
4. In the main window of the "Freight" tab, all of the project's items will be visible. Please verify that you have the following required information for each item:

   a. "Class"

   • Only editable from the "Spreadsheet" screen.

   b. "Weight"

   • Only editable from the "Spreadsheet" screen.

   c. "Zip From"

   d. "Zip To"

   

5. Next, select your freight provider from the freight dropdown located in the "Estimator" section of the top ribbon.

   a. To receive a direct estimate from a freight provider, click on the "Log In" button in the lower right hand corner of the screen and enter in your account information.

   

   

6. Now select the item for which you want to estimate freight from the main window.
7. If all required information is entered into the item list, several estimates will be available to view on the right side of the panel located directly under the main window (Freight Estimator).

   a. If an item is missing information, you will receive an error notice inside of the Freight Estimator.

8. Double click on an estimate in the Freight Estimator to apply it to the selected item.
