AutoQuotes Tech Tuesday – Adding and Removing Users

How to Add and Remove Users?

Periodically you will need to add or remove users from your AutoQuotes account. This can be done easily from within the application by any AutoQuotes administrator and does not require a call or email to AutoQuotes.

To add or remove a user from your account, the administrator must first launch AQ. Then, click ‘Admin Settings' in the ribbon at the bottom of the main window.

Once in this section, administrators will see a current listing of individuals at their company that have licenses.

Adding A User

First click the ‘New' button in the ribbon at the top of the page.

After clicking the ‘New' button, a window will appear allowing you to enter the user's information.

After clicking the ‘OK' button, you will see the new user listed in the window. Register the new user by right-clicking on their name and selecting ‘Register Person' from the pop-up menu.

After registering the user, you will be prompted to select the user's role which defines their level of privileges while using AQ.

Once you have clicked ‘OK' a welcome email will be sent to the user containing their login credentials.

Removing a User

To delete a user and remove their license, right-click on the user's listing and select ‘Delete Person' from the pop-up menu.

Keep in mind that deleting a user will NOT delete their projects from the system. After a user is deleted or unregistered their projects and all sharing preferences related to their projects are retained indefinitely.
