AutoQuotes Launches New Revit Plug-In
FES Tech Leader Launches Revit Integration with Functionality Unique to AQ
AutoQuotes, the leading supplier of technology solutions and services for the foodservice equipment and supplies (FES) industry, today announced the expansion of its AQ Design Solutions suite (AQD) with the launch of AQ Designer Plug-In for Autodesk® Revit® for the North American and UK markets. The new Plug-In integrates AQ into Revit, putting expedited Revit design within reach for AQ customers as part of the quoting and sales process. These upgrades place AQ on the cutting edge in design solutions for FES market.
The integration enables users to leverage the power of Revit and AQ and gives them access to AQ’s exclusive Parameter Tool, which allows batch editing including the addition, merge, and deletion of parameters and thus eliminating the manual editing process common in Revit. The tool also gives users the ability to create and edit custom parameter files. AQD users can access more than 50,000 Revit families published in AQ to auto populate designs from AQ projects. Projects can also be imported from Revit into AQ allowing users to create designs in the workflow they prefer.
“As AQ continues to deliver on the promise of innovation, we’ve created a product that not only has exclusive functionality but also facilitates the entry into design for those who want to enhance their quoting process,” said Jim Contardi, CEO of AutoQuotes. “FES dealers and distributors are being challenged with creating more value for their customers. The AQD Revit Plug-In allows these firms to lean on the collective power of AQ and Revit to satisfy the growing operator demand for designs during the bid process.”
The AQ Designer Plug-In for Autodesk Revit launches alongside an updated version of AQ’s CAD-based design tools, AQ Designer and AQ Designer Plug-In for AutoCAD, now compatible with Autodesk 2020. AutoQuotes is hosting a live webinar on AQ Design Solutions and a product demonstration of the Revit Plug-In on Tues., Nov. 12 at 11 a.m. ET / 4 p.m. GMTAQ. AutoQuotes is an authorized Autodesk developer.
